The MRBA has experienced enormous growth in the last 4 years as our region's population has boomed. We have evolved from a one-court association to running weekly domestic basketball competitions at venues across the Macedon Ranges.

 

The MRBA nurtures the development of basketballers from their beginnings at Aussie Hoops right through to senior domestic and representative basketball. We also provide access for our athletes to enter the Basketball Victoria Country pathway, allowing players to follow their dreams of taking basketball to the next level at State and National competitions. 

 

Our association may be small but we’re very proud of our recent achievements.

In 2025 our U18 boys were runners up in the Division 1 Junior Country Championships (JCC), U12 girls were Division 5 JCC Champions and U14 Girls and U14 Boys were crowned JCC Division 4 Champions. In VJBL our U12.1, U12.2 and U14.1 Boys won Grand Finals, and we had many players participate in Basketball Victoria's Country Basketball Pathways Programs, including Under 12 Jamboree, Future Development Program and State Development Program.
