Domestic Competition
MRBA coordinates both junior and senior domestic competitions that are played weekly at Macedon Ranges Sports Precinct (New Gisborne), Buffalo Stadium (Woodend) and occasionally at other secondary locations within the Macedon Ranges.
No tryouts are required to play, you can register a team with friends or register as a player to join a team with a spare roster spot.
These competitions are a great way to enjoy the social aspect of basketball within a safe, inclusive, and structured environment. Our current term competitions are:

Domestic Comp Summer season 2024/25:
Junior Girls and Intermediate Girls: 14th October - 24th March
U12, U14, and U16 Boys: 15th October - 25th March
U10 Boys: 16th October - 26th March
U18/19: 9th October
Open Women’s: 9th October 2024 - 30th March 2025
Open Men’s: 9th October 2024 - 30th March 2025
Anyone who is participating in domestic competition is welcome to join our optional group training sessions held each week of the season. Costs for training sessions are already included in registration fees so all players are free to participate in each session, please bring a drink bottle and ball.
Sessions focus on individual development of the fundamental skills required in basketball.

Junior Player Development
Held through the first half of the year, the Under-12 Country Skills Days and Under-14 Skills Day events are part of a development program for players of all abilities and standards from all associations located in regional Victoria.
