The Macedon Ranges Basketball Association was established in 1985 and strives to provide opportunities for the personal growth and development of young athletes while also reinforcing positive influences, self-confidence, self-esteem and the ability to excel on and off the court.

Domestic Competition

MRBA coordinates both junior and senior domestic competitions that are played weekly and are welcome to all. No tryouts required, simply sign up and play!

Rep Ready Program 2026

The Macedon Ranges Basketball Association is excited to announce the launch of our 2026 Rep Ready Program!

​

This Term 3 development program will run from Sunday 25 July - Sunday 16 August for Boys and Sunday 23 August - Sunday 27 September for Girls and is designed to give aspiring U12 players a taste of representative basketball.

​

Participants will be trained by our current VJBL U12 coaches, in a supportive and high-energy environment.

Representative Competition

Macedon Ranges Rockies was established by MRBA to give representative-level opportunities to players from the MRBA Domestic competition.

Tryouts for the 2026/27 Rockies will be held across 3 dates in
early October. Click below for more information and to register for tryouts.

Aussie Hoops

This national program uses a "game sense" approach where boys and girls of all abilities (up to 12 y.o.) learn basketball through fun games and activities.

Non Player Opportunities

The MRBA also offers opportunities for our members to take on official responsibilities of umpiring, coaching and scoring.
 
Our association depends on volunteers, and we’re always in need of more!
